同議会によると、弁当や学用品を現金代わりにしてクモを買ったり
「クモ相撲」で賭ける子どもが多く、学業に集中できない状態という。
違反者には100ペソ以上300ペソ以下の罰金または禁固２日が科されるという。

新課税制度
フィリピン内国歳入庁（ＢＩＲ）はこのほど
外国の航空会社を対象に、新たな共通課税制度を導入すると発表した。
これに対してフィリピンに乗り入れる外国航空各社の団体は
不公平な措置として反発し、見直しを求めている。
新課税制度は、乗客１人当たりの平均運賃収入を課税基準とする方式から
実際の運賃収入を課税ベースとするシステムに変更し
一律で３％の航空税を課すという内容。
これに加えて、各社は貨物、旅客収入に2.5％を課税されることから
税率は5.5％となる。
（航空券の発売地に関係なく、フィリピンから出発する便の収入が対象となる。）
これについて
30の外国航空会社が加盟する航空会社代表者委員会（ＢＡＲ）は
外国航空会社と同じ海外路線を運航している
フィリピンの航空会社に同制度が適用されないのは不公平で
差別的な措置だとして猛反発している。
