涙を流すマリア像

９月８日、フィリピン ルソン地方南イロコス州ビガン市の一角で
涙を流す聖母マリア像が見つかった。
ビガン市のアンティークショップに飾られていた立像で
涙を流す様子が目撃され、瞬く間に大勢の人が押し寄せた。
店主は、すぐに店先から隠したという。
ちなみに９月８日は聖母マリアの誕生日だった。

フィリピン総合病院
国立フィリピン総合病院（PGH）を管理している
フィリピン国立大学のパスクアル学長は
先月に、総合病院が発表した
「今まで貧困層患者から徴収していなかった
X線および顕微鏡検査費用を今後は徴収する」方針を撤回すると伝えた。
これは、総合病院の労組や世論から激しい反発を受けたためだという。
