フランシス・フォード・コッポラによる戦争映画。
ジョゼフ・コンラッドの小説『闇の奥』を原作に
物語の舞台をベトナム戦争に移して翻案した映画で
ロケは、フィリピンのジャングルで行われた。
アメリカ軍の協力が得られなかったため
