世界中で感染が広がっているバナナの病気は
カビの一種である病原体によってバナナの木が枯れてしまう
「新パナマ病」と呼ばれる病気で
一度かかると治らないため
バナナの「不治の病」とも言われています。
日本が輸入するバナナの９０％近くを占める
フィリピンの最大の産地、南部ミンダナオ島では
ここ数年で「新パナマ病」の被害が急速に拡大しています。
現地の生産者団体によりますと
島にあるバナナの木の５分の１がすでに感染し
生産量もこの５年で２０％以上も減り
今年は、さらに落ち込む見通しだということです。

絞首刑が望ましいと言明。
また、首つり縄で脊椎を損傷させ死に至らしめる絞首刑の方が
より人道的だと主張した。
さらに、公共の場での午前2時以降の飲酒や
子どもが大人の同伴なしに深夜に外出することを禁止する措置を導入すると宣言した。
子どもが街頭で保護された場合
親が逮捕・収監されることもあるとしている。
