国際サッカー連盟（FIFA）の基準に沿って作られた
サッカー場「ターフ・ビー・ジー・シー（Turf BGC）」が完成し
一般に公開された。
FIFA公認のイタリア・リモンタ社製人工芝が使われているという。

２０１１年に世界で発生した自然災害をまとめた報告を発表した。
昨年、１年間でフィリピンを襲った災害は33で被災頻度では最多であり
災害別の死者・行方不明者数では
日本の東日本大震災（１位）で
ミンダナオ地方を襲った台風センドン（21号）が２位でした。
国連の国際防災戦略とは、国連総会によって
2000年に設立されたプログラムで
自然災害やそれに関連する事故災害および環境上の現象から生じた
人的、社会的、経済的、環境的損失を減少させるための活動に
グローバルな枠組みを与えるという目的をもつものです。

午後12時03分に発生した余震の強さはM4.8で
震源地はドゥマゲテの北約62キロ付近
午後12時20分に発生した余震の強さはM5.6で
震源地はバコロド市の南東約71キロ付近との発表があった。
国家災害対策本部によると、現時点で
東ネグロス州ギフルガン市などで少なくとも７人死亡。
負傷者数は12人だという。
地震の影響で、ネグロス・オリエンタル州タヤサンで外壁が倒壊
また、セブ市とサン・カルロス市では
建物の窓ガラスが割れたり壁に亀裂が入るなどの影響があったものの
高層ビルへの被害は今のところ報告されていないという。
フィリピンの火山地震局は
ネグロス島とセブ島の間にあるタノン海峡付近に
レベル２の津波注意報を発令した。
（最高警戒位のレベル３になると避難指示が出される。）
この津波警報は、午後2時30分に解除された。
