観光開発計画
フィリピン観光省では「観光開発計画」として
2011年から15年までのマスタープランを展開しており
国際線のアクセスと接続の改善
競争力の高い観光スポットや観光商品の開発とマーケティング
観光地域ガバナンスと人的資源の向上を掲げている。
2016年までに1000万人の観光客の誘致をめざす考えだ。
群島であるフィリピンは航空アクセスの充実が最重要であるため
マニラのニノイ・アキノ国際空港の改修工事など国際空港の整備や
民間航空政策の自由化はかる考えだ。

新種のアリ40種が発見されたという。
調査を行ったパラワン大学とハーバード大学の合同チームによると
フィリピンには、1,000種以上のアリが生息しているという。
