カンボジアには、フィリピン人英語教師が、およそ800人いるという。

国際手配中のアメリカ人女性２人を
アメリカに強制送還した。
２人は、アメリカの拳銃店で働いていたときに
店の販売記録を改ざんした疑いで、逮捕状が出ていた。
アメリカ政府が旅券を失効させたことを受け
入管がビサヤ地方セブ市内の民家で２人を拘束したものです。

11月10日にフィリピンのマニラ首都圏で
FC（フランチャイズチェーン）による1号店を開業する。
この1号店は、マニラ湾に面した
アジア最大級の巨大モール「SMモールオブエイジア」の2階に出店。
店舗規模は91坪、テラス席を含めて170席。
メニューは食事が中心の海外版「和民」メニューで
フィリピンで、本物の日本食をリーズナブルな価格帯で提供するという。
