日本の入国管理局によると
7月６日、不法滞在のフィリピン人ら約７０人を
チャーター機で一斉に強制送還した。
コスト削減と安全確保が狙いで
チャーター機による強制送還は密航者を除き
ほとんど前例がないという。
入管によると
不法滞在者には法務省が退去強制令書を発付し、民間航空機などで帰国させる。
航空券代は自己負担が原則だが
送還を拒否している場合は国が負担せざるを得ず
付き添いの入国警備官数人分の費用も必要になるという。
