フィリピンと中国の双方が領有権を主張する南シナ海で
（フィリピンのルソン島から西に約２３０キロ離れたスカーボロー礁）
フィリピン海軍の艦船と中国の海洋監視船が
にらみ合いを続けており、緊張が高まっている。
フィリピン海軍は
４月８日、中国の漁船８隻を発見。
フィリピンは状況確認のためフィリピン最大の艦船を送りこみ
１０日に漁船を調べた。
その直後に中国の海洋監視船２隻が到着し
漁船と艦船の間に停泊したという。
