住友系の会社が狙われている
２０日、フィリピン南部ミンダナオ島のコンポステラバレー州で
住友商事（東京）系のスミフル・フィリピン社が経営する
バナナ農園が、共産ゲリラ「新人民軍（ＮＰＡ）」とみられる
武装集団に襲われた。
住友商事によると、日本人従業員は当時おらず、怪我人もなかった。
フィリピン国軍によると
少なくとも２５人の武装集団が農園敷地内にあった
トラックや物置などに火を付け、近くで国軍と交戦になったという。
ミンダナオ島では３日
住友金属鉱山（東京）の子会社が建設中の製錬所が襲撃されたばかりで
住友系の会社が相次いで標的になった。
