1日、国連代表団が、フィリピンでは毎日11人の女性が
出産時に死亡していることを伝えた。

特にミンダナオ島のイスラム教社会では深刻で
10万件の出産につき、320人が死亡しているという。
この高い死亡率を低下せるには、性と生殖に関わる健康政策が必要だと訴えた。
