Sea Cucumbers (海鼠) and Living Power (生力)

I’d love to link Bashō’s haiku that includes the word "sea cucumbers (海鼠)" to the second paragraph that includes the phrase "living power (生力)" in Volume 4 of "An Encouragement of Learning (学問のすすめ)" by Yukichi Fukuzawa.
