カナダでの敵

カナダでの私の対敵はたくさんいた。

今までへんてこなダイエットばっかりしてきた私にはここは危険な国だったのである

完全に太りやすい体質になっていたのは知らず、どんどんとカナダ人体系に近づいていったのである

敵１

こいつは強敵である。

ってゆーか、私の大好きな肉。。。。それも火曜日は＄２．５

ありえない

肉好き、貧乏学生の私は毎週ＫＦＣにかよったのはご想像通りであります。

敵２

こいつも強敵である。カナダでは有名なファーストフード店、Tim Hortons

カナダ人、留学生、誰からも愛される店であり、この店のうりは安くておいしいドーナツ。

なにかパーティーがあったり、差し入れって時は必ずここのドーナツを皆持参する。

日本じゃ、ドーナツなんて食べなかったけど、これをおやつ、お昼に食べていたら。。。。。

大変な事になった

１０キロ増

原因はこれらだけじゃなく、ビール、チキンウイングス、ホームステイ時での食事。。。などなど。

帰国前３ヶ月前から必死に家の周りを走りダイエットに励んだ結果

トータル７キロ増で日本に帰国したのでした。。。。

カナダでは周りは太っている人が多く、いくら太っても

私はデブじゃない！！という錯覚に陥ります。

成田空港で現実を見せられ、帰国後ジムに入ったことは紛れもない事実であります

Japanese company

I'm working for a Japanese company currently, actually this is a first time to work for a typical Japanese company.

I used to work and wanted to work for Gaishi(multinational companies) again, which offer more challenges, excitement and a pleasant working environment, also which are gathering in the city....so I just picked up the company, which is close to my house. I'm happy with a short commute and less stressful environment. I really did not wanna commute to the city standing on trains packed to over 150% capacity, where dirty old men reading newspapers and bugging me are out of the questions.

Now I don't need to get annoyed by slowing down of the train, however, that choice made me facing the reality of old Japanese management systems which are still existed.

In my company, managers who don't have management skills are sitting a desk at the front of the office facing their subordinates.

There is age-based system (seniority-system) in my company which has been prevalent among typical Japanese companies, although this system has been being avoided. Under this system, wages and promotions depend exclusively on length of working year. This system allows managers who don’t have any management knowledge to work the company without having a training to obtain management skills or analysis of any problems caused in the company.

In addition, women in offices known as "office ladies" or "O.L." for short, used to work to support guys, and it was believed that making coffee or tea is one of their major routine tasks. I thought this kind of stupid things disappeared long time long. However, women are making tea in this company.... do we have right to work equally?

Some people are working till late without urgent problems or doing anything.

Because they believe that sense of solidarity is important. Even though people who have already completed their work, they would stay late at office with the idea. That kind of idea might not come up at Gaish companies.

Anyway, I have lots of complaints about my company and the company's management style, however, I can't quit for a while for some reasons

I will never work for typical Japanese companies again.

I just believe the phrase "hanmen kyoshi"( a person who serves as an example of how not to behave) , but Actually I've learn a lot even from this company.

This is good way to learn many kinds of management styles and pros and cons for those for me.
