The Full Brogue- This will probably be the most versatile shoe you will ever buy and like a best friend it’s always there for you. It can be dressed up with a suit or dressed down with a nice blazer and jeans. Go with a shade of medium to darker brown that has that vintage look. The tan seems to be popular with some but I feel that it’s not as versatile and tends to highlight the brogueing a little too much in my opinion and can take attention away from the rest of the outfit. But if that’s what you’re going for, knock yourself out.

They are low cut shoes and show a bit of ankle which is perfect for the sock-less look that is really popular these days. There are a variety of styles and materials that these come in so choose one that you will get a lot of use from. For your first purchase, I recommend a brown leather style.

There’s a lot of variety in this shoe category also so choose one that works with your current wardrobe. Personally, I like these in suede and usually get them in black, grays, browns, or blues.
