This morning I learned for the first time that parking a car on a road beside one’s own house is against the traffic law.
I have parked our family car beside the house every time I hung out the washing to dry.
There was often a police car parking near the house to patrol traffic offenses.
But no police person ever approached us about my illegal parking.
I was just lucky.
From next time, I will have to wash the car before hanging out the washing.
