I have an English circle for small children. Our teacher is an Australian man  . He has no car, so I drive him to and from a station to a place where we use for the class every time.

On the way we talk about verious things.Today we talked about wearing masks.

A few weeks ago he asked me people wearing masks were all feeling sick?
He thought they all had bad colds.
I answered him some of them were really sick (having a cold), but most of them wear masks for prevent from colds.

I heard that Australian don't have such a custom to wear masks when they have colds or prevent from colds.

I saw many people wearing masks from my car on the way back to the station today.
It is nice and warm today, so I'm sure a lot of pollens are in the air.
I asked him whether Australian wore masks or not if they had pollen allergy.
He said Never.
His brother has an allergy ,but he only takes some medicines even when he has a bad condition.
He said that only Asian pepole like Chinese and Japanese wore masks .

As I  am not allergic to pollen, I don't know how much wearing masks helps allergic people.

But Japanese are too nervous ?
Or Australians are careless???
