It is hard to regain prestige. It usually takes years to build one’s fame. An outstanding programmer started working at a prestigious company. He had an interview to get a job, and he became a hotshot in the company. The company liked him, and he was hired right away. He captured the imagination of his interviewers during his job application. From the beginning, he was expected to show an excellent performance. He performed well, but he thought that his salary rate is not fare. He complained that his salary should be higher, but he was warned that if he kept on complaining he would be demoted. The threat discouraged him. After 3 years of his inner conflict, he ultimately quit. He no longer enjoyed working for the company. It apparently lost a talented staffer. It is still a prestigious company, though.
