Brad Paisleyのアルバムです。
わかりやすさも十分、懐の深さや色々な意味で大きさを感じさせる作品だと思います。
曲の並び方も良く、飽きずに最後まで通して聴くことが出来ます。やはりこういう音楽はカントリーミュージックでイメージするものなのでしょうか。カラッとしたサウンドに男らしいボーカル、フィドルやドブロ、ギターなどの弦楽器との相性も良く、強さと優しさを兼ね備えたような包容力のある音楽。
ついでに個人的な意見を言えば、ギタープレイも曲に調和するような演奏を基本にしつつ、弾くところはしっかり弾く、曲も良く、カウボーイハットをかぶった本人も男前。何もこのアルバムから始まったわけではないですが、これは人気が出るのも当たり前という事でしょうか。
Alan JacksonやDolly Partonというような豪華なゲストもさることながら、やはり一番の魅力はカントリーロックは格好いいものだとわからせてくれるような説得力のあるボーカルと演奏だと思います。
14はインスト(これも凄い)。全21トラック。1、2、5、7、8、10、12、14など、ほぼ死角なしです。
