In 2 Peter Chap 1, it talks about adding to ur faith, godly virtue, self control, patience, brotherly love and etc.
If you ask most Christian why Believer A have more godly virtue than beliver B.
Most will answer they have more will power & discipline. They do their quiet time more. If,that is the case i will be in problem. Thank God for his love for in 2 Peter 1:9 he gave the answer.
2Pe 1:9 For he in whom these things are not present is blind and cannot see afar off and has forgotten that he was purged from his sins in the past.
If you dun have godly virtue, it is because u have forgotten God's grece & mercy to you. FORGOTTEN YOU WERE FORGIVEN. The more we count on this forgiveness of sin, the more the goodness of God will abound in our life.
Most Christians trust in self discipline & will power, but these are of our flesh. and if it is born of our flesh it is deadly and temporal!! God works opposite from us, cos he dun want us to boast of our result and sucess based on our efforts for all good things r from him.
