このcallは鬼束ちひろさんが初めて作詞作曲した曲です。AIDSに感染した劇を演じて作った曲だそうでもともとは英語ですべて作詞だったとか。
優しさと儚さが融合した侘び寂びな曲ですよね。
自分が死んでしまうとして、「一緒にいなくなって」って恋人に言えませんよね。けれど、それくらい怖くて怖くてしょうがない心情なのでしょう。
愛する相手の優しさによって苦しんでしまうという歌詞は眩暈とも共通しますね。
昨日やった翻訳のour songでも書きましたが、鬼束ちひろのセカンドアルバム This Armourは"優しさ"が際立ちます。しかし、insomniaも負けてませんね。
ゆーみんこと松任谷由実の優しさの歌謡曲とは少し違いますが、鬼束ちひろのすごいところは“あなたの優しい顔なんて、私を食いちぎるだけで“とか優しさによって傷つく心情の表現の豊かさにあるのかもしれません。
