TEDxSapporoSalon

The Organizer Dilip BK Sunar gave me an opportunity to share my 30-day challenge on the Salon.

tedxsapporosalon

It was an unofficial 4 minutes presentation. I'm so happy to have the great experience.

The contents of my presentation was as follows.

My 30-day challenge by Akira Kondo

titledoodle

This is what I did. Doodling. Doodling with a Japanese writing brush.

yurumatsu01yurumatsu02yurumatsu03

I wanted to doodle because I was inspired by this guy, Yuru-matsu. → http://ameblo.jp/yuru-matsu/

Yuru-matsu is a blogger in Ameba-Blog. He draws with a Japanese writhing brush. I thought it was very interesting and I said "I could do that!"

eclipse

So, I started on May 21st. This is my first doodling. Eclipse.

sorakara

The second day, Tokyo Sky Tree opened.

Then, just go on and on.

sunnibrown
Doodling has a huge power. If you are watching TED talks, you find Sunni Brown: Doodlers, unite!

She says "doodling has a profound impact on the way that we can process information and the way that we can solve problems"

Actually, people who doodle during the class or meetings remember more than people who do not doodle.

davidkelley

Also you'll find David Kelley. He says "Build you creative confidence".

You do NOT want to do creative things because you are afraid of being judged by somebody else. You don't want to hear people say "Hey, your drawing is terrible". You don't want to hear that. You don't want to be embarrassed.

But he said we are all naturally creative. We can overcome the fear of judgement step by step. So, don’t give up. Just stick with it. Keep doing it. Then something amazing happens.

I tell you what happened to me. Something great happened to me, too.

sachiko002
This is my sister Sachiko. 13 years ago, she died of breast cancer when she was 31 years old. I miss her a lot. I think about her every day.

Now I’ve found a way to see her, just anytime, anywhere by simply doodling her smile.

Now it's your turn. It's time for you to start your 30-day challenge, to build your creative confidence. I want you to try because it's your life.

stevejobs
Steve Jobs said to find what you truly love to do in your life.

If you haven't find it, keep looking. Don't settle. He also said "Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish".

So, don't be afraid. Let's just do it!

Thank you.
