Today, we took an early morning drive to Lake Hollywood Park in California, a true oasis in downtown Los Angeles. Nestled between valleys and surrounded by lakes and lush greenery, this park is an escape from the world.
Upon arriving at the park, we were blown away by the view. The clear lake reflected the surrounding mountains and blue sky, and the lake was serene and beautiful with green grass and lush trees swaying gently in the breeze.
We found a peaceful lakeside area and began to set up the picnic site. Spreading out blankets on the greenery and arranging cutlery and food made it feel as if we were in a beautiful dreamland.
It was a very nice day, with the sun shining on the lush green lawn, and I wore a dress that I recently bought at Shopbop, which recently had a very affordable spring clearance! I felt like I became very gentle in this long knit dress, and the length is more suitable for taller me, it comes a little bit below the knee, very slimming!
The food we prepared consisted of sandwiches, fruit, chips, cold salads, and cold drinks. Enjoying these treats by the lake, the colors of the food paired with this dress of mine, bright and sunny, and feeling the coolness of the breeze across the lake was delightful.
After lunch, we decided to do some outdoor activities. Some chose to walk around the lake while others chose to go boating in the lake. With my family, I chose to hike through the surrounding hills, enjoying the breathtaking views along the way and experiencing the power and beauty of nature.
With the lake’s crystal clear water and the sound of birds and flowers, this oasis made it seem as if we had forgotten the hustle and bustle of the city. Here we enjoyed the gifts of nature and felt the peace and tranquility of the mind.
At sunset, we packed up our picnic gear and prepared to return home. Although we were in a hurry, this trip to Lake Hollywood Park left us with wonderful and unforgettable memories, which made us love nature more and look forward to the next time we meet.
