How was your day today?

I will have a short holiday in February to go see my family in Wyoming.
２月にちょっとした里帰りします。
During the time I am gone two of my friends will teach in my place.

Where are you from?
I was born in Nelspruit, a city on the eastern end of South Africa.
How long have you been an English teacher?
I helped my mother start a pre-school prior to moving to Japan, and I started teaching English as soon as I moved to Japan in 2013.
What are your hobbies?
Reading, photography, cycling and playing video games with my friends.
What are you good at?
I’m good at problem solving and creating things.
Tell me about yourself.
Although I traveled to neighbouring countries, I have lived in South Africa all my life until I moved to Japan with my wife in 2013. I didn’t know any Japanese so it was difficult to make friends or doing day-to-day things. I started volunteering my time with elderly Japanese who wanted to improve their English, and helping other English teachers with their students.
My wife and I love Japan so much that we decided to stay after her contract had ended.

得意な事:
読書、写真を撮ること、友達と自転車に乗ったりゲームをしたりすること。問題を解決したり物を作ることが得意です。
自分について:
近隣諸国を旅したことはありましたが、2013年に妻と日本にやってくるまで南アフリカでずっと暮らしていました。当時、日本語を全く知らなかったので友達を作ったり、日常的な些細なことがとても難しかったです。その後、ボランティアで英語を上達したい年配の日本人の方々と一緒に時間を過ごしたり、他の英会話講師と彼らの生徒たちに英語を教えたりし始めました。
私の妻と私は日本が大好きで日本に住み続けることにしました。
