日本名では「トックリキワタ」と呼ばれますが、スペイン名では酔っ払いの腹にちなんで"Palo borracho"（酔っぱらいの樹）と呼ばれるそうです。
Japanese named "Tokkuri Kiwata" (Sake-bottle tree cotton) , but from the form of this tree is looks to the belly of a drunkard, Spanish named "Palo borracho" (tree of the drunkard).
