I haven't updated my blog these days.
I was asked to translate English contract to Japanese. When I read it, I thought it would be piece of cake. Once started, however, I found it is tough job. I think it is tough for some reasons.
One, basically English grammer structure is so different from that of Japanese.
Two, it is contract; therefore, it has so much detail and special terms.
Three, I do not know much of bakcground of the contract.
Four, my Japanese sucks.
As mentioned above, it has too much of detail infomation. So, each sentence is really looooooooooong. Each sentence contains bunch of meanings. When taking a look, I though it was a paragraph. But it was a sentence. It is impossible to translate whole sentence into one Japanese sentence. So, I broke the long Englsih sentence into several Japanese sentences.
I understand what the contract says in English, but no in Japanese. I think translating requires skill and good sense of Japanese.
Actually, it has 30 pages. I have finished translating about 7 pages. I have finished reading it like 15 pages. Due date is Friday. I am not sure I can finish before due date.
Well. another topic. I sighed up Speach and Presentation class. I think I did good choice. It seems like that I will be able to learn a lot from an instructor and also other classmate since they have different backgound.
