Ocean Racing Technology aiming for Monza podium
Portuguese team hoping to close gap to the top 3

Ocean Racing Technology is about to begin a new challenge this coming weekend at Italy's Monza circuit. In the wake of their victory at Spa-Francorchamps, the Portuguese team is planning to confirm that it has become one of most powerful team's in the GP2 Main Series.
The team's two racers, Álvaro Parente and Karun Chandhok, are determined to secure strong performances and fight for podium finishes.
For Parente, the Portuguese pilot is even more motivated after his two consecutive victories, one in GP2 and the other in the Superleague Formula, and is now aiming to shine on the legendary circuit where he has already stood on the rostrum in his Formula 3 days(two victories) and in the World Series by Renault. "The last straight of the championship is really positive for us now. I've already said that we were missing one thing, but when the bad luck left us alone the result in Spa reflected the competitiveness of the team. Personally, I am more motivated than ever and I hope we will be able to fight with the front-runners, especially on a legendary track such as Monza," Parente said.
The bad luck the Portuguese driver refers to has yet to leave his teammate however, but Karun Chandhok knows he has a car which will allow him to fight with the best. Therefore he retains the same determination to deliver. "Monza is an interesting track, fast and where you have to run with low downforce. It is totally different to the other tracks on the calendar but I think we should be fast just as we have been in the last races and I expect to fight for points, hopefully the big points for the very first positions. The weather could have an influence on the result but you have to be ready to adapt yourself to any condition."
With its victory in Spa, Ocean Racing Technology is now 5th in the championship, 9 points behind 3rd place, which they are hoping to catch in Italy.
The skies over Monza should be overcast on Friday, with downpours possible on both Saturday and Sunday. The maximum temperatures should be between 24°C and 27°C.
The Italian races will be broadcasted by the Eurosport channel, the first on Saturday September 12th at 5:00PM (delayed) and the second one live on Sunday at 9:30AM (UK Time).
