Dear Congressman Mike Honda:

We would pose some questions about “comfort women” or “sex slaves”.

You cosponsored a resolution condemning Japan for abducting many Korean
women and coercing them into sexual services for Japanese soldiers outside
of Japan during World War II and requiring Japanese government to make the
official apologies. And the resolution was brought before the House
Committee on International Relations. Afterwards, the House passed the
resolution with only ten attending Congressmen in July of 2007.

According to our study “comfort women” or “sex slaves” is a complete
fictitious story. It was precisely and logically denounced based on verified
facts described in the attached article titled “The Truth About the
“Comfort Women” edited by Mr. Hiromichi Moteki, secretary general of
Society for the Dissemination of Historical Fact. Any historical fact should
be logically and fairly understood and interpreted based on the verified
original sources. We understand American people are such people who
enthusiastically pursue fairness.

We, therefore, would ask you the following questions.

1. Do you still stick to the idea that Japanese government (including
its local agents) or Japanese army abducted many Korean women and coerced
them into sexual services for Japanese soldiers outside of Japan during
World War II?

2. If you do so, could you present the verified original sources
supporting your belief? Please tell us the names of the documents or others.

3. If it is revealed that your maintenance you had around the year of
2007 is groundless or based on false information, will you admit it and make
apologies for your baseless sullying of Japan as the most brutal people in
the world?

We know that many people tend to ignore a question unpleasant to them and
reject to answer the question. You may choose such a line of behavior. OK,
but you
should realize that you expose yourself to a dangerous situation by doing
so. If we don’ t receive the answer from you within a reasonable time
period, we have to understand that you implicitly admit that your
maintenance that Japanese government including the local agents and/or
Japanese army abducted many Korean women and coerced them into sexual
services for Japanese soldiers outside Japan was groundless. And we will
inform all Congressmen, Senators and many opinion leaders in the world of
our questions and the fact that you failed to answer the questions and
eventually to verify that your maintenance of “comfort women” and “sex
slaves” was valid. Your quick and sincere answer will be much appreciated.

Sincerely,

Dear Mr. Speaker:

I have a sense of affinity with you because I lived and worked in Washington
C. H. Ohio.

We request that you and your esteemed colleagues in the House of
Representatives review the allegation that the Japanese Government and the
Imperial Army coerced many Korean women into sexual servitude for Japanese
soldiers during World War II.

Congressman Mike Honda took initiative in introducing House Resolution 121
in the 110th Congress, 1st Session, which condemned Japan for the above
mentioned brutality and which required an official apology by Japanese
Government. This unfortunate Resolution passed in 2007.

We, the Society for the Dissemination of Historical Fact, previously edited
an article titled “The Truth About the “Comfort Women” in which the
Society demonstrated the complete fictitiousness of the “Comfort Women”
issue using verified historical sources. In the end, using rational
argument, our article exposed the “Comfort Women” issue as completely
baseless.

We have heard of an incident, in which a Japanese child living in New Jersey
was bullied by another child, motivated by, of all things, an inscription on
a monument built by pro-Korean organization to the “Comfort Women”. Such
conduct is cowardly and intolerable. We believe that the American people
cherish and enthusiastically defend fairness and justice. Because of your
commitment to justice as a member of Congress, we believe that you and your
esteemed colleagues will review the facts concerning the “Comfort Women”
with impartiality and see the “Comfort Women” issue for what it truly is.

As a member of the Society for Dissemination of Historical Fact, I sent a
letter to Representative Mike Honda on February 16, 2012. In that letter, I
asked Representative Honda, if he still truly believed the “Comfort Women”
story and asked him to present the verified historical sources that form the
basis of his belief. I hope that Representative Honda has reconsidered his
view on this issue and will notify his esteemed colleagues of this.

However, we have not received a reply from Representative Honda, so we would
like to educate other members of the House and Senate concerning the
“Comfort Women” issue. We ask only for an impartial and reasoned
reconsideration on this issue.

My grandfather worked in Japanese Embassy in Washington, D.C. as an
assistant to the naval attache to conclude the Washington Naval Treaty. I
hope that this letter contributes to furthering the friendship between Japan
and the United States.

Sincerely,

Michio Sekino
