尖閣諸島が日本領である「動かぬ証拠」５点を、No.31でご案内しました。
これはいずれも中国側の資料に基づくもので、もはや議論の余地なしといえるものです。
しかし、中国は古い歴史資料に基づいて領有主張をしているので、何か根拠があるのかも知れないと思う人もいるようです。
ニューヨーク・タイムスの元日本支社長のニコラス・クリストフ記者の「中国の主張に分がある」などという虚言はその一例でしょう。
しかし、中国側の主張には一片の根拠もありません。そのことを詳細に論証した論文が、『中国は何故尖閣を取りに来るのか』（藤岡信勝・加瀬英明編、自由社）の第２章として掲載されています。
この度、温家宝首相が日本に来たことだし、この事実を世界中の人に知らせる良いタイミングと考え、英訳版を発信する会サイトに掲載し、海外の４０００余の報道・学術関係者宛てに、下記の通り発信しました。

the Senkaku Islands are an inherent territory of Japan. The five evidences
presented there are provided by China side either through official documents, state organ paper or state authorized maps.
Chinese government claims its sovereignty showing historical documents, but
they are invalid from view point of modern international law on the territory
sovereignty.
They say in old maps Senkaku appears. But even the latest official Qing
statutory encyclopedias "Qing Huidian", Senkaku is not mentioned in spite of the fact that all the attached islands of Taiwan are described there.
China even presents fabricated rescript of Xi taihou. This paper exhaustively reviews all these facts.
