に本当らしい話がありました。
会社が変わる、大阪のビルの改良。１Fに4台の３Dプリンター、そのうちの1台は世界一の大きさ。この３DプリンターのおかげでR&Dの機会をえることとなる。
しかしビルの改良はJRの次のビジネスを暗示しているのでは？
JRの海外販売担当者が７月末までに退社し、それと同時に、松坂工場を7月末で閉鎖、約40人の解雇。さしあたりJRブランドのヘリコプターの自社製造開発は終了。
現行モデルは外部委託で製造するが今後の開発はなし。今後は産業用遠隔操作技術と同軸ヘリにフォーカスする。
国井さんと伊藤さんはこの新分野でのR&Dを担当する。二人は新しい挑戦をすることとなる。
Recently there have been a lot of rumors about JR Propo. So it was a good opportunity just to visit the company and talk about it. Managing director Takahiko Maniwa took a lot of time. True is: The company is changing. The building in Osaka got a lot of renovation. The first floor contains now four high end 3D printers, one of them the world's biggest one, as Mr. Maniwa proudly presented. These machines give JR new opportunities for research and development. I was shown the l...atest results. Impressive. But not only the building is partly renovated, like a metaphore it's just following the business. And that is quite changing for JR. Mooney San, the well known face for JR's overseas sales is leaving by the end of the month. At the same time JR is closing down the Matsusaka factory by the end of this month, almost 40 people lose their jobs. For the moment this is the end of development and (own!) production of JR model helicopters. The existing models shall be produced by an external partner. But there won't be new developments by JR. Following the market, the company will focus on remote controls and coaxial helicopters for industrial solutions. Shinya Kunii and Hiroki Ito will still be in charge for research and development. They are facing new challenges. Together with Sadayuki Okamoto from marketing they joined us for dinner. It was not just a funny but also very interesting evening. I am grateful for all the first hand information and a journey back in time when Mr. Maniwa showed me the very first JR helicopter or later on his iPad pictures from the first days of JR.
