遅ればせながら、あけましておめでとうございます。
お元気ですか？
１月ももう１０日。
やっとここで仕切り直し。。。ができるといいのですが。予定より１時間遅れですが。現在月曜日午前６：５６。
今年は、敢為邁往、櫛風沐雨、大粒、肝っ玉と４つをあげて行動していきたいと思います。
それで毎日、積み重ねていきたいですね。。。
まずは１週間、がんばって鍛錬が続くでしょうか。

I attended Greenovation Forum #2 yesterday!
This time's theme is Knowledge, Action and Sustainability.
After Welcome and Opening Remarks by Dr.Lisa Shaffer,
Dr.Charles Kennel Spoke:
What was memorable in his talk was "avoid the unmanageable and manage the unavoidable" (Louis Sisilione?)
He was suggesting to assess the climate problems at the regional level, which makes it more effective. He said to THINK GLOBALLY, ASSESS REGIONALLY and ACT LOCALLY.
- He also suggested that knowledge, Trust and motivation should all flow together.
- Global Network of regional impact assessments.
-Creation of Knowledge-Action network-->Initiated by regions of the world-->have network and work collaboratively.
-Example on Water Problem: CA's water problem
1. First look for places that are experiencing the same problem (Indus, Gange, Yangtze etc)
2. Get information from there and share information and think about the solution together.
-The Knowledge-Action Networks will be the 21st equivalents of libraries. (a delocalized academic unit)
Juan Carlos Castilla-Rubio:
-By 2030 resource demand explosion is certain, but supply is NOT!
- Population increase by 33%
-Demand for food increase by 50%
-Demand for water increase by 30%
-Demand for energy increase by 50%
SENSE--> PREDICT--> ACT
Collaboration-->Decision--> ACTION!
1. Let regional knowledge action networks prioritize decision flows.
2. Rely on distributed and participatory sensing
3. Data and model silo-busting across disciplines and sectors
4. Reimtroduce human context and experience into decision and support
5. Open innovation process of "doing, fixing and learning" as we move (it will be an iterative process)

-Scientist portray the information (precise but hard to understand)
-Not able to be comprehended by Red Cross humanitarian decision makers.
--> Have to try to find an easier way to move INFORMATION--> ACTION

- All design are interface design (one is influencing the other, no matter what you do)
-Planetary Scale Computation...Governance as form of design

-IP takes up 2% of carbon usage

Also met a guy Nikos, who's an organizer of High-tech high in Southern California, his school sounded very very interesting...no wonder he gets so many visitors from all other the world. It is a project based Highschool initially endorsed by Bill Gates!
いやー情報がいっぱい！
でも今はやっぱり少しずつ情報から行動にどう移行していくかがどこもここも焦点になってきているみたい。 ペタバイトの情報量をもとにどう行動するかを推奨するマシーン、そしてその情報をもとにマシーンががさらに先を読んでいく。もとはと言えば人間がすべてプログラムするものだけど、馬鹿なコンピューターでも情報を与え続けていけばその情報をつないで何かを作り出すことができてくるのか。。。そんなSFの世界。。。ってすぐにくるのかな。
どこかで人間の脳のキャパシティーはドストエフスキーの小説１００冊分にしかならないということを聞いたけど。。。すごーい客観的な目で見ると。。人間はその小さい記憶力の許容範囲をカバーするために行動というものを携えたと考えられないか。行動することで新しい情報が生まれる、その情報が脳に入ってくるこないは別として、ダイナミックな情報は行動することによって作り出されている。。。
あ、でも行動が自分の体の情報となって蓄えられるにはかなり時間がかかると思われる、イチローの理論もしかり、マルコムグラッドウェルのティッピングポイントもしかり。。そう考えると、行動することによって生まれる情報というのはどこに消えていくのか。。そもそも情報というものは受け取る側の人間がいない場合情報と果たして呼べるのかどうか。。。（行動も同じなのだろうか。。受け取る側がいなかったら、それは行動と呼べるのだろうか。。）。。。。。。情報から行動に移していくということ。。は情報のパラダイムと行動のパラダイムが交錯するということ？
情報ー→行動ーー＞解釈ーー＞修正ーー＞行動ーー＞情報
という風に繋がっていくものなのかな。。
いやー頭の中の掃除というか、頭の中の螺旋階段をさらに築いていくというか。。
でもこうやって考えていくのはなんとなく楽しい。
