キャロルとその息子クリフの会話

・ Cliff : Oh, gross! These bananas are mushy

(Cliff takes the bunch of bananas to the trash.)

・ Carol : Don't throw them away. They're just a little overripe.

・ Cliff : But no one is going to eat these, Mom. They look rotten.

・ Carol : You're right. They don't look pretty, but they're perfect for using in smoothies or for making banana bread.

・ Clllf : I don't want to eat banana bread made with mushy bananas.

・ Carol : You like my banana bread, don't you?

・ Clllf : Yeah, it's the best.

・ Carol : Well, I always use overripe bananas. They make the bread sweeter and tastier.

・ Clllf : Really?

・ Carol : Yeah. If you look for banana bread recipes online you'll see that they all call for very ripe bananas.

・ Clllf : Well, in that case, let's make some banana bread!

・ Carol : Right now?

・ Clllf : Yeah, we can have some tonight and I can take some in my lunch tomorrow. Please, Mom?

・ Carol : OK, but will you help me?

・ Clllf : Sure! 111 do the measuring.

・ Carol : OK, get out the flour, eggs, milk and sugar.

・ Clllf : When we finish making banana bread, can we make banana smoothies too?

・ Carol : Not tonight, but put a few of the bananas in the freezer and you can use them for smoothies tomorrow.
