【円い虹、大沼のハクチョウ：北海道の旅（３/３）】
【Brocken Spectre Circle Rainbow (?), Swans in Ohnuma Lake; in Hokkaido (3/3) 】
（雲の表面が滑らかではないので、虹も機影も漠としています・・・ブロッケン現象と呼ぶそうです。）
(As the surface of the cloud was not even and smooth, the colourful circle and ,therein, the shadow of my plane were not reflected perfectly, which is called Brocken Spectre. )
僕の人生は、谷底に落ちたり、天国への階段を昇ってみたり、偶然と偶然のめぐり逢い（デボラ・カーは大好きですが、An Affair To Remember のことでありません）が重なって、感謝の今があります。
My life is always fluctuating, once deep down onto the bottom of the valley, once stepping upward almost to heaven. Thanks to coincidental meetings, my life has been created delightful.
As I arrived at Wakkanai Airport 5 or 6 hours earlier than my flight, I asked the office to change my flight to one which would depart soon if they had vacant seats.
Yes, they had some unoccupied seats. Neverthless "No" was their answer to me. I wonder what the vacant seats mean.
However, their reply "No" would provide me with a good luck of the wonderful circulous rainbow and a quite friendly, cute flight attendant, by chance.
稚内空港にフライトよりも5～6時間早く着きましたので、空港窓口で、‶空席がありましたら早い時間に変更できますか”とお願いしましたが、 NO の返答でした。空席があるのに？？？
5時間、待合室で昼ご飯を食べて、昼寝して、本を読んで、ブログの原稿を書いて、お土産をいっぱい買って（家に帰ると叱られて）・・・、そうそう、レストランの人達に、‶宗谷海峡がラペルーズ海峡と呼ばれているのをご存知ですか”と尋ねました。・・・誰も知っていませんでした・・・。
そんなことをしながら予定のフライトに乗ったことが、僕に僥倖を用意してくれていました。
During the flight to Sapporo, Shin-Chitose Airport, a circle of rainbow appeared on the cloud below my plane.
The lady attendant told me that she had never seen those rainbows and it would have a certain name of its own. I came to know later it is called "Brocken Spectre ."
She was so nice, giving me a tiny vinyl bag swollen with sweets. And, as I was leaving the plane in Sapporo, she spoke to me saying in sweet voice, " Have you taken good photos? ・・・"
稚内空港から札幌、いえ新千歳空港までの飛行中、ブロッケン現象、つまり円形の虹が見えてきたのです。即座にカメラを出し、カシャ、カシャ・・・何枚も撮りました。飛行機の下方の雲に円い虹、その円内に僕の飛行機の影が映り、感動でした。
乗務員さんに話すと、彼女は、見たことはありませんが、○○○現象（？）、とそれなりにアドバイスくれました。
彼女から小さなビニール袋にパンパンに詰めたキャンディーをいただきました。・・・新千歳空港で降りる時は、いい写真が撮れましたか、などと優しく声をかけてくれました・・・
※円い虹と円内に映った機影は、北海道の旅のあとか月後、アラスカ、北極圏への旅の時、クッキリと、毎日のように見ることが出来ました。アラスカのブログで掲載する予定です。
The surface of the cloud in Hokkaido was not smooth enough for the perfect round rainbow, while, in Alaska, I saw absolutely sirculous rainbow almost every day. Some of them shall be put in my blog soon.
（左と右の2羽は、挑発しているのでしょうか、ラブコールなのでしょうか。）

稚内のホテルから飛行場まで、小雨模様でしたから、バスではなくタクシーで行きました。運転手さんは、大沼でハクチョウが見られるかも知れないので回ってみましょうか、と言って寄り道をしてくれました。
彼は、湖ではハクチョウがいつもよりちょっと少ないかも、と言っていましたが、まだ北帰行しないで、い～っぱい（僕の感覚で）戯れていましたので、初めての僕にとっては感動です。
親切な運転手さんで、待ち時間の料金はいらないから、好きなだけ見学してきていいよ、と促してくれました。・・・近くに自販機がありましたので、温かいコーヒーを買って彼にプレゼントすると、コーヒー１本なのに、すごく喜んでくれました。
おかげさまで「白鳥の湖」 を楽しむことが出来て、運転手さんに感謝です！
（この2羽は威嚇しあっているようでした。でもすぐに左の彼は、ごめんなさい、と謝ったような・・・。）
( Those two swans seemed to be frightening each other for a while. Soon, the left one suddenly surrendered to the right one ・・・ saying "So sorry." )
From the hotel to the airport was a taxi convenient while raining. The driver suggested me to try to watch swans in the Ohnuma lake by taking a little roundabout.
He was quite warmhearted that he would not charge me while I was out to take photos of a huge number of swans. To thank him, I dashed to a vending machine delightedly and bought a couple of coffee cans.
It was amazing to observe so many swans and their curious behaviours made me forget the driver waiting for my return.
I thanked the driver very much.
（イギリス、ウィットビー湾のハクチョウはのんびりで、僕とジーっとにらめっこしていました。でも僕の勝ちです（？）、彼女は独りでどこかにスーッと流れて行きました。）
( There is a cute story about an elegant swan in Whitby Harbour. She was gazing at me so lovely, and I did so at her. After a while she was floating away, alone. )
