Rightly or wrongly, western nations are criticised for only evacuating westerner's, and the UN's handling of the situation is ridiculous, the U.S government not reacting with force, because of what had happened in Somalia, and not wanting more bad press is just selfish! And despite what the film makes out it's wasn't a black and white issue, if there were black Americans there, they would of been evacuated! And if they did evacuate Rwandans, which ones would they evacuate? How do you decide who lives and who dies? But the main question I have is, where were the other African nations? Why didn't they do more.

Listening from 1:20:04 Its funny how an excuse was given that RPF would reject a robust UN force. Since when has that ever deterred a Western country from going to war in a less developed country. If there was an intervention by a robust force, that genocide would have ended in a second. Much respect to Captain Mbaye Diagne from Senegal, General Dallaire and all the soldiers from different countries who stayed. Your altruism will never be forgotten. At least I will never forget it.
This documentary showed the real face of humanity that when push comes to shove majority of the world will ignore problems that don't affect them.

So much for american help. A country that is quick to do military interventions under the guise of humanitarian interventions, yet they did nothing for these people. They only help themselves when the country is rich in oil, or other natural resources.
