ゲイリー・バートンは’７０年代に入ってチック・コリアと共演するようになって初めて知ったので、それ程馴染みが深い訳ではありません。ましてそれ以外のメンバーは僕にとっては名前だけは良く知っている新世代のスター達です。
ギター・ヴァイブ、ピアノのユニゾンというのはジョージ・シアリングでお馴染みのサウンドですが、こちらはやはり今風の軽さがあります。
何が今風か、というのは説明し難いですが、アフター・ビート感が乏しというか、粘りが少ないお茶漬けのような味わいという感じでしょうか。
ＢＧＭとして流すなら気になりませんが、腰を据えて聴くにはちょっと物足りなさを感じます。
