糸を作るときには、綿紡績工程から、繊維長が短くて機械から落とされてしまう短綿（短い綿繊維）を再利用して、ポリエステル・ステープルやレーヨン・ステープルを再度、混紡して作り上げる、短綿紡績工程を通して糸にされたものです。
