ツアー４日目。最後の交流日となります。
朝食は、ヒロで有名なKen's House of Pancakeでパンケーキをいただきました。
The tour fourth day. It is a last interchange day.
The breakfast had a pancake house in famous Ken's House of Pancake in Hilo.
実は前日、参加者の一人の親戚がヒロにいるということが判明しました。そのため、残りの方にはヒロの町を少しホロホロしていただき、その間に住所を頼りにご親戚のお家へ向かいました。
わざわざ出向かわなければならなかったのは、電話番号が一桁多く、前日には電話連絡がつかなかったからです。
残念ながら親戚の方はお留守のようで、メッセージを残して皆さんと合流しコナへ向かいました。
ところがサドルロードが工事中で渋滞があり、とてもお昼には間に合いそうもありませんでした。
The day before, it was recognized that there was one relative of the participant in Hilo. Therefore we had some towns of Hilo have Holo Holo towards the remainder and she and Matsumoto went to the house of the relative counting on an address in the meantime.
The reason why we had to purposely go out was that the phone number was one digit long and we could not reach the phone the day before.
Unfortunately my relatives seemed to be out, leaving a message and joining you and heading for Kona.
However, there was a traffic jam while the saddle road was under construction and it was not likely to be in time for lunch.
お昼は、コナコーヒーファームに戦後嫁入りした日本の女性に会い、お話を伺う予定でしたが、とても間に合いそうにありません。
その方とは夕食をご一緒することで調整し、すこしだけコナの街を観光することができました。
みなさんが、「私たちは普通の観光もできた〜」と喜んでおられたのが印象的です。初めてのツアーで詰め込み過ぎるのも良くはないようです。
Lunch was scheduled to meet a Japanese woman who married after the war on the Kona Coffee Farm, and I was planning to talk with you, but it does not seem to be in time very well.
We adjusted it by having dinner with that person, and we could just visit the city of Kona a little.
It is impressive that everyone was pleased that "We were able to do normal sightseeing ~". It seems that it is not good to stuff too much with the first tour.
夕食をご一緒する予定だったデグチさんに所用が入ってしまったため、夕方一瞬だけしかお会いできなくなり、その前に「キムラ・ラウハラショップ」のアルフリーダ・フジタさんにお会いすることに。
前日お電話し、急遽お邪魔したため長くはお会いできませんでしたが、それでも昔のコナのお話を少ししてくださいました。
Due to Mr. Deguchi-san who was planning to have dinner, we are only able to see for the moment only in the evening and before that we will meet Alfreida Fujita-san of "Kimura's Lauhala Shop".
We called to her on the previous day and she in a hurry so we could not see her for a long time, but she still gave a little talk about Kona in the past.
その後、UCCコナコーヒーに顔を出したところ、Hideki Mikiさんがツアーの皆さんに少しだけコーヒーの木に関する説明をサービスしてくれました。
After coming to the UCC kona coffee, Mr. Hideki Miki gave the explanation about the coffee tree free to all of tours only a little afterwards.
そして皆さん待望の「テシマレストラン」へ。
And to "Teshima Restaurant" of the everybody expectation.
ここで、お昼に会う予定だった「永井イリエさん（80歳）」ご夫妻と待ち合わせです。
永井さんは、戦後、一度のお見合いでコナコーヒーファームに嫁いだ女性で、当時のコナコーヒーファームには、20名余りの日本の女性が、同じように一度のお見合いで海を渡ったそうです。
Here we are meeting with Mr. and Mrs. Nagai Irie (80 years old) who was planning to meet at noon.
Mrs. Irie Nagai-san was the woman who married into a kona coffee farm at one marriage meeting after the war, and, to a then kona coffee farm, more than 20 Japanese women seemed to cross the sea at one marriage meeting in the same way. 
その当時のお話を伺っていたところ、「ヤスノリ・デグチさん（92歳）」が顔を出してくれました。そしてさらにコナ日系人協会のウォルター・クニタケ会長も合流し、話は尽きませんでした。
We was hearing a story at that time, and "Yasunori Deguchi-san(92 years old)" came. Moreover, Walter Kunitake-san who president of Kona Japanese Citizens Association also joined, and the story did not run out.
結局、テシマレストランの閉店時間になってしまい、レストランの外でも話が続きました。
Eventually, it became the closing time of the Teshima Restaurant, and the talk continued even outside the restaurant.
この日の宿泊は「Manago Hotel」です。もちろん、日本移民が創業したホテルで、映画で証言する故Sunao Kadookaさんのお父さんが建設に従事していました。
The accommodation of this day is "Manago Hotel". Of course, Manago hotel was founded by a Japanese immigrant, and the late Sunao Kadooka's father who testifies in a movie was engaged in construction.
最終日も「日系人に関する」内容の濃い一日となりました。
The last day also became a rich day for "Nikkei of Hawaii".
