さて、定期検査がありました。みなさまに結果のご報告です
勝手にホルモン治療をやめてから、ビカルタミドは1年5ヵ月、ゾラデックスは1年2ヵ月が経過。
直近(7月)のPSAは0.43
今回の結果は

じゃーーん、1.03でした
前回から比べるとまぁ倍にはなってますね。
今回も泌尿器科の主治医に加えて、放射線科の先生にも見解を聞いてきました。
泌尿器科M先生「やはり上がってきましたね…CTとっておきますか」
ニッチャラ（心の声）『やはり、て、なんやねん。ホルモン治療を勝手に辞めたからかいな...』
ニッチャラ「先生、ホルモン療法辞めて1年２ヵ月ほどでこの程度なら、ええんちゃいますか？」
泌尿器科M先生「いやいやニッチャラさん、あなたは骨転移してますからね…」
ニッチャラ（心の声）『癌がさらに他にも転移してるやろーちゅうことかいな...』
ーーーー
かたや、
放射線科Y先生「そうですね、順調なんじゃないですか。PSA2.0くらいまでは回復してると思って大丈夫ですよ～」
ニッチャラ「そうですか～
」
ーーーー
おんなじ数字を見ても、先生によってこれだけ見方は違う。
当然、それを聞かされた患者の心情もぜんぜん違うんやで！
もちろん、自分が聞きたい結果だけを聞けばいいってわけではないのは承知の助
どんな事実も見方を変えれば幾通りにも解釈できるってことを当事者の自分がよーーく知っておくことが大事なんやな

Hello, I am Nichara, fighting Prostate Cancer patient.
So, I had my regular check-up.
It's time to share the results with everyone!!
Since I stopped hormone therapy on my own, it's been 1 year and 5 months for bicalutamide and 1 year and 2 months for Zoladex. The recent (July) PSA was 0.43.
And this time's result is...
drumroll, please...
1.03.
It's almost doubled compared to the last time, huh?
Besides consulting my urologist, I also talked to a radiologist this time.
Urologist Dr. M: "It's indeed going up... Shall we take a CT scan?"
My inner voice: "Well, no surprise there. Maybe it's because I stopped hormone therapy on my own..."
Me: "Doctor, if it's only this much after stopping hormone therapy for about 1 year and 2 months, is it okay?"
Urologist Dr. M: "Well, Nichara, you do have bone metastasis..."
My inner voice: "Does that mean cancer has spread even further..."
On the other hand,
Radiologist Dr. Y: "Hmm, looks like you're progressing well. I think it's fine until around PSA 2.0 – you're recovering, it's all good!"
Me: "Is that so? "
Even with the same numbers, doctors have such different perspectives.
Naturally, the feelings of the patient who hears this also vary greatly!
Of course, I understand that I shouldn't just listen to the results I want to hear. It's important for the person involved to know that any fact can be interpreted in many ways depending on how you look at it.

How you interpret the graphs is quite something.
Of course, I believe that lycopene and carrots are doing their best, so I think I can beat cancer without hormone therapy.
