Agree or disagree:Industrialization has had an overall beneficial effect on humankind
賛成か反対か：産業化は人間に全体的に有益な影響をあたえてきている。
高3のRikoさんの意見
Although I know industrialization has made people’s lives rich,
産業化は人々の生活を豊かにしてきたと分かっているけれども、
I disagree with this idea that industrialization has had an overall beneficial effect on humankind.
産業化が人類に全体的に有益な影響を与えてきた、という意見には反対です。
I have three reasons for this.
この理由が３つあります。
Firstly, a large number of people lost their job.
最初に、多くの人々が仕事を失いました。
Before industrialization, a lot of people were needed to make products.
産業化の前に、製品を作るために多くの人々が必要とされていました。
However, after that, much fewer workers became to be essential
しかしながら、その後で、必要となったのはかなり少ない労働者でした。
because the industrialized system replaced the power of human with that of machines.
なぜならば産業化されたシステムが人間の力を、機械の力に替えたからです。
This is how the employment rate has decreased
これは、どのように雇用が減り、
and it has badly influenced society.
社会に悪い影響を与えたか、を説明しています。
Secondly, the environment on the earth is becoming worse.
2つ目に、地球
の環境が悪化しています。
Humans have used a huge amount of energy since the society was industrialized
社会が工業化されて以来、人類は莫大なエネルギーを使ってきました。
and the way energy is produced is not kind for the environment
そしてエネルギーが生産される方法は、環境に優しくありません。
because it effuses CO2 or other dangerous things.
なぜなら、二酸化炭素や他の危険物質を排出するからです。
Also, the environment was exploited due to industrialization.
また、産業化が原因で、環境が開発されました。
If it had not been for industrialization,
もし産業化がなかったら、
the environment where humankind lives would be much cleaner.
人間が住む環境
は、はるかに綺麗であるでしょう。
Finally, the population in the countryside has been declined.
最後に、田舎の人口が減少
しています。
After industrialization, people started to think much of lives in big towns.
産業化の後に、人々は大都市の生活を重視し始めました。
Therefore, many inhabitants of the countryside are likely to move
それゆえに、田舎の多くの住人たちが、
somewhere that is more developed than their hometown.
彼らの故郷より発展したどこかの場所に移動する傾向があります。
Such decrease in population discourages the social activities in small towns.
このような人口の減少は、小さい町の社会活動を妨げています。
In conclusion, in terms of the employment rate, the effect on the environment and decrease in the population of the countryside,
結論として、雇用率、環境への影響と田舎の人口減少の点から、
I reiterate that industrialization has not had a whole beneficial influence on humankind.
産業化が人類に全体的に有益な影響を与えてこなかったと、繰り返し述べます。
Rikoさんは準1級のライティングを満点で合格し、
1級のライティングを初めて書きましたが、
素晴らしい出来栄え
ですね。
3つの理由を考えるのは難しいですが
具体的で説得力のある理由を用いて、
反対意見を上手に説明出来ました。
