My husband took a medical check-up this morning.
The report is yet to come, but we already know how it would look.
He had to filled out a questionnaire about his medical history before hand,
and just by watching it, I could tell what's wrong with his diet.
He needs to eat more soybeans and seaweed, and more fish and less meat.
He shouldn't take so much sugar.
I could go on and on.
However, for a good health, I agree that we should enjoy eating, but not worrying about it.
I do not want to pester him, so I did a little trick on his lunch today.
Since he said he would eat lunch home, I prepared a bowl of vinegared cucumber and seaweed
that would not fit into lunch box.
He wouldn't eat vinegared food nor cucumber nor seaweed, at least so far.
But he ate it, to my surprise!
I'll keep trying tricks on him, and we'll see how much his diet has improved in the end.
Today's nekoben:
rice, cooked with grilled flat fish (which he caught)
croquette (potatoes are from neko-farm)
fried vegetables (legume, pumpkin, eggplant)
vinegared cucumber, seaweed, and fake crab meat
Dessert: pineapple
