How good were NBA superstars in college part 1. Kevin Durant is one of the NBAs greatest scorers ever so its only right he is one of the best players college basketball has ever seen. Coming out of high school a 5 star recruit, KD stayed close to home playing for the Texas Longhorns. The 2006-2007 season, his lone year in college, KD averaged 26 points, 11 rebounds and 1 assist per game, leading Texas to a 25-10 record, good for a 4th seed in the NCAA tournament. Although a 30 point effort from Durant, Texas was upset by USC in the round of 32. Despite not getting far in the tournament, KD was awarded damn near every award in college basketball, including the Naismath player of the year, John Wooden player of the year, and 8 other widely recognized honors and rewards. After his lone year, KD was drafted by the Supersonics and his #35 is now retired for the Longhorns. Follow for part 2.
