Waimanalo Steaks?!

My friend Derrick introduced me to Mels Market in Waimanalo. A very, very local market with supposedly very good T-Bone steak.

We bought three big T-Bone steaks for around $25.

My friend Derrick cooked up the steaks at a park in Waikiki and...

They were awesome! Soft and juicy! I highly recommend Mels Market T-Bone steaks!

Hawaii Food - Taco Bell?

ちょっと変かもしれないがハワイに帰る時に必ずTaco Bellに行く。I just love their Nachos Bell Grande and Burritos. I always wonder why Mexican food is not popular in Japan. Please someone, bring back Taco Bell to Japan!

Diamond Head Surf

Well, I finally came back from Hawaii, and I have a few pics to post. First, here is a pic of Diamond Head on the second day I went home (June 21). It was about 1-3 feet solid. Not too many people out considering it was a Saturday. This is a set wave:

Well, 久しぶりのblog entry. I am finally going back home to Hawaii! I leave tonight! Yeah! Going for a week and when I come back, I should have a lot of pics to post here. Stay tuned...

半年ぶりのサーフィン

After about 6 months of not surfing during the winter, I was finally able to go during GW. I went to 片貝 in 千葉. It was rainy and overcast, but the wind in the morning was slightly offshore so conditions were good. サイズは腹・胸ぐらいかな。下の写真は上がってからの写真だからちょっと風がonshoreになってconditionは悪くなった。久しぶりサーフィンして下手だったけど気持ちよかった！これから毎週末行くよ！

宇都宮の餃子が最高！

宇都宮の餃子が本当においしい！First we went to みんみん餃子.

The gyoza was so juicy! 野菜typeだけど肉がjuicy! ３０人前を買って帰った。The next place was正嗣ぎょうざ.

正嗣ぎょうざの方が肉が多くてカワがぱりぱりでおいしかった！でも僕はみんみんの方がよかった。

鎌倉の旅

Well, Golden Week is here. ハワイから両親が日本に来てぜんぜん更新する時間がなかった。 I took them to Kamakura for a day trip. Saw a store that brought back memories of Hawaii. ハワイに早く帰りたいな。

Hawaii vs. Japan - 週末の違い？

Well, this is my first blog entry, and I thought I would compare what I did on the weekends in Hawaii and what I do on the weekends in Japan:

Hawaii

Surf

Go out to dinner

Drinking with friends

Family get-together

Japan

Go to the gym

Sleep

Drinking at home

Sounds pretty sad doesn't it. For some reason, even though Hawaii is a small island with not many places to go, it seems like I did more in Hawaii than in Japan. I remember when I used to live in Hawaii, I used to think Hawaii was so boring and Japan seemed so exciting. I guess the grass is always greener on the other side. It just seems that although there are so many places to go in Japan, it just takes too much energy to go out, and everywhere you go, there are so many people. Anyway, I think it is probably because I have not been back home for over a year. Damn, I miss Hawaii!
