I know some of you've talked about Youtube deletions matter... and just now, i got a message from a friend.
Due
to copyright matters, Youtube recently has taken down almost all PVs,
videos, clips that are related to Jrock that had been uploaded to the
site without legal permissions. Users who are found guilty with
copyright infringements will have their accounts suspended and/or
deleted from YT. One of the biggest recording companies/labels in
Japan, PSC, is said to be one of the strictest companies in dealing
with these copyright issues, and has personally asked YT to delete all
videos that are related to bands under its label (including the
GazettE, Alice Nine, Myv, etc). Earlier, PSC has ensued a ban for
materials (including songs, videos, pictures, etc) related to its bands
to be published without legal permissions, and has prepared legal suits
for people who violates this ban.
I'm quite disappointed
that they ban the redistributions materials, mainly the pictures ones.
I'm not so upset of the videos or songs because we've got to support
them. But for God's sake... pictures T_T and they said anything related
to ban should be published with legal permissions.
Apparently, few accounts who used to upload COVER VIDEOS are removed too. That's quite injustice no?
In
this case, i wanna ask all of you about fansite. Would fansites be
banned too? Because in order to be "legal" you've to approved by them.
I'm
going to open a fansite, so should i get approval from PSC in order to
do so? Quite ridiculous, because it's FANSITE which in first place by
fans for fans. And i'll still claim copyright infringement to PSC and
link to their official sites.
Soo i really really need helps because i'm so desperate! T_T

I think it's okay that they want to be
'stricter' - especially with the videos and the songs. So many people
just download everything and don't support the bands. I understand that.
But..the pictures? I mean...wow. X_____X'' BY Paint Pops

This seems like they don't really appreciate
the Western fans all that much. Sorry if i'm going off on one, but if
it weren't for all the uploads and stuff of them on the internet,
including YouTube and fansites, a lot of people wouldn't even know
about them. I know I wouldn't. They're just gonna shoot themselves in
the foot with this in my opinion, but whatever.
I can understand from a copyright point of view why they want to do this, but seriously, they need to get off their high horse by Comcrimson

sadly, i've been around a long time, &
i've seen this done more times than i would like. the thing to do is
just wait it out, quietly. and when all the fuss is over, wait a little
while longer, then reupload things to share. i remember when the miyavi
fiasco happened, & we just started sharing things only with the
members of the community. like what happens in the comm, stays in the
comm, haha. so nobody had to be deprived of pictures. because without
pictures, life is sad by Noizstar.

of the PSC removed only by Alice Nine ;____;
A pity, and The Gazette are still, but I do not think
lasting much for them, but that

..if PSC is behind this then why not let our thoughts get to them?
Write
to them (and the bands)either in a large mass together or separately
about this concern.Bombard them with our letters. Let them know our
thoughts as fans and how it has helped us in some way -like getting to
know jrock through this- No, this might not change things BUT i blv it
will make them aware of certain things like their own risk of
eliminating -if they plan to- all that is assciated with jrock online.
I do agree that there should be a control...but not this extreme by XXarixuXX
