いつか、俺が受講している授業の事をBLOGに書こう書こうと思ってたのですが・・・・
授業内容というより、俺がどんな気持ちで受けてるかお伝えします。
ただ今、５つ授業受けてます。アメリカに来てちょうど６ヶ月。皆さんは、俺が英語を聞けて話せて充実の大学生活を送っていると思ってるかもしれませんが、そんな事はございません。一言で申しますと、非常にやばい状況です。授業についていけてません。まあ、出来る限りの事するしかないねんけど。

１ INTRODUCTION TO POPCULTURE

なんじゃこりゃ！
最初テスト内容を見た時の感想です。先生が要点まとめた紙をWEB上に貼るって言ってたけど・・・でも嘆いてもしゃーない。やるしかない。正直、日本語で書いてOKでも辛いがな。
この授業、日本人の先生なんです。だから JAPANESE POPURAL CURTURE やから簡単に理解できると思ってたら、アメリカの POP CULTURE ばっかり。日本の事なんか一言も・・・・正直、アメリカの芸能・文化しらんから、Johunny Cash と聞いても俺には、ちんぷんかんぷん。アメリカ人なら誰でも知ってる、フォークシンガーの大御所らしい。まあ日本人以外が、長嶋茂雄（ミスター）と聞いてちんぷんかんぷん みたいな感じかな。日本人なら誰でも知ってるやろ。とにかく、一般常識として、何でも知ってる前提で話すから誰じゃ？状態によく陥る。
日本人の先生だから、英語わかりやすいといえども俺の理解度は５０％いってるかな？パワーポイントや、板書しなかった時は、理解度が極端に下がる。でも、この授業は、まだましなほうで、RTVの他のクラスは、黒板に何も書かない日がほとんど。ほんまアメリカは、黒板に何も書かんな。書く先生の方が珍しいんじゃないか？と思う。今の俺には辛すぎる。
２ MEDIA LITERACY
生徒からは人気の授業。たぶん面白い先生やと思われる。先生の講義というよりも、生徒主体の授業って感じ。先生が何か疑問や質問を投げかけ、生徒が議論していく感じ。よって、この授業俺の理解度は５％くらい。正直何やってるかわからん。まじ地獄だ。しかも、たまに意見を言わねばならない状況に・・・・恥ずかしながら、１度、何を言ったらいいかわからん？みたいな事言ってもーた。言い訳すると、言ってる事がわからんから、意見の出しようがないねんなー。でも、アメリカ人は意見もない、変な奴と思ってると思う。正直、このクラスで発言しないのは、数人だけだ。そのくせ、一番前に座ってるから、目立つんだよな。まあ、FWとして前線で頑張ってます。まだ今シーズン、ノーゴール状態です。今度は右FWに移ろうかな・・・
ともかく予習しても授業内容が、わからんのです。むなしい。無念だ。恥をかきまくってる。
来週 １１０ページにもわたる範囲のテストが・・・しかも、この先生。POP CULTURE と違い何もテストの事に言及しない。読んどけよ！だけ。まじ、読むしかないねんけど大量のページ数に戦意喪失しそう。しかし、今期の俺は読むぜ！SUPER BOWL も見ないぜ。
３ INTRO TO TELLECOMMUNICATION MEDIA
この授業は予習していったら、だいたい分かる。でも理解度は５０％いってるかなー？この先生は、発音がなまってて聞き取りにくいのが難点。教科書どおりの感じだから、アメリカ人にはつまらんだろーなーと思ってます。
今の俺にとっては、つまらない真面目な先生のほうがありがたい。ジョークの多い先生は、まじ困る。生徒には人気っぽいけど・・・でも、アメリカの先生は皆、なんかジョーク言いますな。面白いか面白くないは別にして。あと、アメフト見たか？とか、大統領演説見たか？とか授業始まる前にジャブを放ってきます。
この授業、２０ページくらいの範囲の小テストが毎週あります。ただ、５問中３問が選択なので助かる。あと２問は、記述ではなく穴埋め。だから、英語力は問われません。しかし、当たり前ですけど本読みの時の英語力が問われます。よって、いつも ３点。まじ悔しすぎる。こんなん日本語やったら、屁やぞ・・・しかし、ここはアメリカ。くっそー、まじテストの見直しした時に、本を机に投げたくなる。そういう仕草をしたら、友達のアメリカ人が笑ってた。

単位を落としたため、前学期に引き続き受講。今学期は絶対取る！
一番、言ってる事はわかりやすい。でも理解度は６０％か・・・？
６ヶ月留学すれば、英語だいたい分かるようになる説。個人の英語レベルによると思うが、嘘だろ。まあ、来た当時に比べればましやけど、友達と話しても普通にわからん。
書きたい事は、山積みですがここらへんでやめます。
