everything is gonna be alright | secret passage

everything is gonna be alright

last Sunday, Mar 27th,
that day is gonna be remarkable.
it was one of the most touching and intense feeling
in my US life.

in Jan, we Japanese students here just decided to
dance ソーラン節.
actually at first, that was just cultural and traditional stuff.
that's it.
we didn't think about the meaning of dancing,
but we only wanted people here to know some Japanese stuff.

but... suddenly "that" earthquake happened.
it just happened.
there was no meaning and it's just terrible.
so many people have been changed their life.
not only "their" lives but also "our" lives were changed.

we are here, in the US.
we speak English, we eat American food.
but our feelings are totally Japanese.
our hearts are still in Japan undoubtedly.

so, we danced ソーラン節 for our future and our state Japan.
i just wanted to show people what we have to do is whatever we can do.
some may do donation, some may buy wrist band,
others probably can keep checking news.
i just wanted make sure
that we young Japanese can re-make and rebuild Japan again and again.

after ソーラン節, an old woman who i had never talked before just came to me
and she was like;
"i'm sure Japan can be the strongest because you can perform such a great dancing.
Japan is gonna be more energetic surely and quickly."
after i heard what she said i cried.
i even had never talked to her before,
and i think i'll never talk to her ever,
i still really appreciate to her.
i just wanted someone else to feel and think about something for Japan.
i know it's too unclear expression,
but everything someone thinks about Japan is fine.

though only on woman thinks something, it doesn't matter to me.
because this earthquake and tsunami never end.
even all water from tsunami is gone,
or all people live in house and satisfies with commodity,
the disaster and aftermath are gonna just keep going.
but at the same time, we have people who can help us fondly.
we have kindness which we can share with anyone.
we have a bunch of power which anyone can be reliable on
because we young Japanese are here.

now time to protect and raise Japan by ourselves for ourselves
and our bright future...
