Hate cats? Me? LOLWHAT? I want to know who told you that.
If I hated cats I would not use them on my pages. 
I'm not a cat fanatic, I had no cats, but it doesn't mean I hate them. btw, to hate ANY animal is not ok.
You may have read about toxoplasmosis. Toxoplasmosis is usually spread by eating poorly cooked food that contains cysts, exposure to infected cat feces, and from an infected person to their baby during pregnancy. The parasite is known to reproduce sexually ONLY IN THE CAT FAMILY. This dangerous parasitic disease may cause damage to the nervous system. Some aggressive cat fanatics are probably suffering from this disease.
