First of all, I don't belive in magic and I don't take fairytales seriously.

I was fond of reading books about Harry Potter when I was younger. I also was fond of T*lkien works, but I quickly lost interest in them.

T*lkien is 'promoting' escapism. A quote on goodreads, I can't post it to my blog.

Drastic forms of escapism can lead to psychosis, a loss of reality, where individuals can hallucinate.

Rowling is calling for a balance. By the way, my beloved man does the same.

It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live.

― J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.

The universe would not exist without balance, as far as we know.

It's not bad to enjoy fairytales sometimes, but it's not really good to be a demented slave of imaginary worlds.
