私はニューヨークに来て1年三ヶ月でブロードウェイのショーを8作品観ました。今回は、英語のリスニングが苦手な方でも楽しめる、私のお気に入りのミュージカルを紹介したいと思います。
正直に言うと、ハリー・ポッターとバック・トゥ・ザ・フューチャーはお勧めしません。ハリー・ポッターはミュージカルというより芝居がメインで、リスニングが得意でない方には向きません。バック・トゥ・ザ・フューチャーは歌やダンスのシーンはあるものの、スピード感のあるシーンが多いため、早口で何を言っているのかほとんど聞き取れず、私はあまり楽しめなかったです。
ダンスが好きならシカゴとミュージカルMJをお勧めします。シカゴは、伝説的振付師のボブ・フォッシーが振り付けた作品で、ジャズダンスが見たいならおすすめです。ミュージカル MJ は、ヒット曲とともに彼の生涯を辿っていくストーリーです。見る前は マイケル・ジャクソンがどんな人なのか全く知りませんでしたが、パフォーマンスがとても見応えがあり、これをきっかけにマイケルに興味を持ち始めるほどでした。 ちなみに私が一番もう一度見たいのはこれです。
ウィキッド、アラジン、ライオンキングは最も人気のあるミュージカルです。 ウィキッドはストーリーが少し複雑なので、すでにストーリーを知っている人にお勧めします。 一方、アラジンとライオンキングは世界的に有名なディズニーの物語なので、ストーリが分からなくなるということはないと思います。ライオンキングは少し子供っぽい作品だと思うので、大人ならアラジンの方をお勧めします。大人の方ならムーラン・ルージュもいいと思います。派手にダンスをするナンバーから歌をしっかり聞かせるしっとりとしたナンバーまで幅広く、アメリカのポップミュージックをベースにした曲も結構あったので、アメリカのポップ音楽に詳しければより楽しめると思います。

Since coming to New York, I've seen eight shows on Broadway. I'd like to introduce my favorite musicals that you can enjoy even if you are not good at listening English. Honestly speaking, I don't recommend Harry Potter and Back to the Future because Harry Potter was just a play all the time, and Back to the Future was also difficult to enjoy since I could hardly catch what they said although it has some dance scenes. If you like dancing, I'd like to recommend Chicago and Musical MJ. Chicago is the one that legendary choreographer Bob Fosse choreographed. Musical MJ is the story of that goes based on his lifetime with his hit songs. Although I didn't know what MJ was like before seeing it, I enjoyed it a lot and became interested in him. I want to see this again the most, by the way. The most popular musicals are Wicked, Aladdin, and The Lion King. I recommend Wicked for people who already know the story because story of it is a little complicated. On the other hand, Aladdin and The Lion King are world-famous Disney stories, so I think you won't be confused. I think The Lion King is a little childish, so Aladdin is better if you are an adult. Moulin Rouge was also good. Since a lot of familiar songs were sung in the show, you'll like it if you are familiar with American pop music.
