先日自分の家で初めてパーティーを開きました。夫は仕事で忙しいので、パーティーに向けての準備はほぼ自分ひとりでやりました。私の家にはもともとパーティー用の大きなテーブルや椅子はなかったので、まずは家具の調達とレイアウトから考えなくてはいけませんでした。また、当日までにバスルームやキッチンの普段あまり気にしない部分を隅々まで掃除し、使い捨ての割り箸、紙皿、ナプキンや客用のグラスも買いに行きました。当日も朝から落ち着いてはいられず、ドリンクのストックを確認し、それを冷蔵庫で冷やし、タイミングをみて料理を始めました。パーティーをするのは楽しいですが、準備は本当に大変でした。

The other day, I had a party at my house. My husband was busy with his work, so I had to prepare for the party almost by myself. My house didn't have a big table or chairs for parties, so I had to start by thinking about preparing furniture and determining the layout. Also, I cleaned up everywhere in the bathroom, and kitchen carefully more than usual, and I bought disposable chopsticks, paper dishes, paper napkins, and some glasses for guests. Even on that day, I couldn't calm down. I checked the drink stocks, kept the drink chilled, and started cooking with good timing. Having a party is enjoyable, but preparing is very tough.
