最初は服装も地味で、真面目で物静かな感じだったので、控えめな中国人なのかなと思っていました。
しかし、彼女は話が盛り上がると声がすごく大きくなるんです。それも道を歩いていて、前を歩いている人が振り返るほど。
よく中国人の会話は喧嘩しているようだと言いますが、声が大きくなるのは中国語のせいではなくて中国人のクセなのでしょうか。
そんな彼女を先日食事に誘ってみたのですが、あえなく撃沈していましました。
暇な時にどうでもいいチャットするくらい仲良いのに、なぜ？笑

I made a Chinese friend for the first time when I started to join an ESL class in New York.
At first, I thought she was a modest Chinese because her outlook was sober, and she was diligent and quiet.
However, her voice gets louder as the person who walks in front of her looks back when the story gets exciting.
It's often said that Chinese talk as if they are arguing. I wonder if their voice getting louder is not the Chinese language's fault, but a Chinese habit.
The other day, I invited her for lunch, but she turned down.
I wonder why she refused it, even though we are in a good relationship as we chat in our free time.
