メトロポリタン歌劇場にて魔笛を鑑賞してきました！実は大学時代にオペラの講義を受けていたのですが、生のオペラ鑑賞は初めてで、どんな感じなのか楽しみにしていました。魔笛は意外にコメディータッチのショーでした。ストーリーは割とシリアスなのですが、展開が突拍子もない場面がいくつかあり、驚きの連続でした。また、主人公と一緒に旅をするパパゲーノが非常にコミカルなキャラクターで、終始客席の笑いを誘っていました。通常オペラはドイツ語かイタリア語で書かれていますが、今回のショーは英語で進行しており、しかも客席前のモニターに英語字幕が出てくるので非常に分かりやすかったです。
